Stewart E. Nazzaro
Stewart E. Nazzaro is a specialist in developing new businesses. With over thirty years of executive management experience in international business sectors, he has successfully built, restructured and sold companies, many under complex and highly competitive conditions. Mr. Nazzaro is President of Aldebaran Partners, a corporate advisory and structured finance firm. He serves as an advisor to a diverse range of businesses, including energy, real estate, media and investment companies.
Since 1996, Mr. Nazzaro has participated in the strategic planning, financing and operation of over 70 companies. He is credited with the successful repositioning of many of these ventures during difficult market conditions. He also regularly participates in the development of policy and regulatory matters for industry organizations.
Presently, Mr. Nazzaro is the Managing Director of a property development company that specializes in large scale sustainable energy projects with distributed power programs underway in the Southeast US and in the Western Caribbean. He is managing the production of a media series about the courageous lives of historic figures in colonial North Florida. He is also an advisor to several leading wildlife conservation groups on fund raising and endowment initiatives.
Previously, Mr. Nazzaro was Chief Operating Officer of Henninger Media Services, Inc., one of the largest media postproduction companies in the U.S. He served as Executive Vice President for television holdings at the United Kingdom media conglomerate Pearson Plc., based in Hong Kong. Mr. Nazzaro was instrumental in the successful international expansion of Communications Equity Associates, Inc., a leading investment bank. He has also held operations management positions with Warner Communications, Inc. His professional career began with the restructuring of public radio stations.
Mr. Nazzaro received a Bachelor of Science degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. He is married and lives on Amelia Island, Florida.

He has partnered in alternative energy Biofuels production, wind energy, tech-related, trucking and leasing companies. For 13 years and until 1990, Mr. Thompson worked for Cummins Engine Company – ultimately as General Manager of Sales, Service and Engineering holding several management including the introduction products targeting trucking, the oil industry, power generation, mining and marine markets. He is a 1977 graduate of Purdue University (BSME energy & logistics-focus), having worked summers in logging and for a natural gas transmission company.
Mr. Thompson enjoys snow skiing; boating; scuba diving (PADI); motorcycling; flying (private pilot & AOPA) and auto racing (’90-’91 Penske Racing Indy Car Emerson Fittipaldi team). He is married to Robin Lucky-Thompson and lives in Rio Rico, Arizona.

Claire LaBrunerie

Claire has deep experience in several practical areas, including researching and launching projects focused on sustainability, performing financial analyses focused on corporate restructuring and corporate integrations, and managing grant applications and early stage equity raises. Projects of note over the past 18 months include work for Traders Hill Farm in Hilliard, FL – working with the President of a sustainable agriculture operation seeking both USDA grants and seed stage capital and for UN Women – working with the global Coordination Division to map systemwide gender costing and architecture.
A Stanford University alumna, Claire has a BA in International Relations from the school. After graduating with high honors, she went on to complete an MA in International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. After working for some time on Wall Street, Ms. LaBrunerie returned to complete an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with dual concentrations in Finance and Multinational Management. Over the next two decades, Claire rotated financial services roles with premier global institutions, gaining knowledge and applying experience in capital markets, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and asset management.
Claire is a frequent panelist at industry conferences, speaking about her experience structuring and seeding funds with a gender and/or environmental lens. Currently, Claire is working on a paper commissioned by GenderSmart (UK) with the aim advancing the case to merge the gender and climate agendas and articulate the narrative around gender and climate investment, engaging both new and established stakeholders and accelerating investments in this space.
In her spare time, Claire is an environmental advocate, serving on the Boards of Ocean Grants and Ocean Grants Foundation. Claire is an avid SCUBA diver and an “Adirondack 46-R,” having summitted each of New York State’s 46 mountains over 4,000 in altitude. Claire has four daughters and lives in suburban New York City.
